Ephesians 4:1-7

“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called;5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. 7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.”

There are so many times in life that we are captive within ourselves and fighting all types of heartaches and situations ALONE, because we are afraid of letting others in. Due to past hurts or simply just shame.

Not one of us is worthy of Christ’s sacrifice. The Bible tells us that none of us are good, not one. But there is hope for every sinner. And that Hope is Jesus Christ who can and died for the sins his people so that we can be made righteous in Him. We must strive to root ourselves in the Word and study the truth of the Gospel. Reality is without Christ we will not have fullness.

Trying to fulfill the fantasy of “having it all together” that this world paints and it’s just a fantasy. No one will ever have it all together, but having the real and true theology, can and will be satisfying truth. The gospel alone will be sufficient and through it develop bonds of peace.

We must dive into the Word to be satisfied and learning to be filled in Christ. Or we will find ourselves comparing our lives to one another. Sisters, comparison is the weapon the enemy uses against us to destroy ourselves and potential relationships with other women. In the book of Ephesians 4:2-3 the author says, “4 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

Unity is essential for us women in the body of Christ, the church. Without unity there is no room for accountability, teaching each other, encouragement, uplifting and prayer for one another.

Father, help me open up to women who love You about the struggles I face daily. Forgive me for thinking I can do this alone and not going to You first, for I know You are who sustains me. Help me identify relationships who will keep me accountable, who encourage me, uplift me, and pray for me Lord.

Are you struggling to open up to other women? Do you find yourself fighting alone? Pray God gives you strength and peace to open up and ask for prayers. Reflect on Matthew 18:20.
